Frequently Asked Questions

What does an RBT do?

RBTs work one-on-one with clients to implement treatment plan protocols developed by Behavior Analysts.  Each RBT receives training and ongoing supervision from a Behavior Analyst on how to implement the teaching and behavior plans for their clients.

What are the hours like?

Our part-time positions are designed to accommodate student schedules.  We re-evaluate scheduling at the end of the fall spring and summer semesters.  Individual sessions with clients are typically between 2-4 hours at a time.  During the fall and spring these sessions typically take place in the afternoon and evenings.

What if I'm not certified?

If you don't already hold the RBT certification or if your certification has lapsed we will help you prepare to take the exam.  New hires receive training prior to starting regardless of certification.

What are your clients like?

Most of our clients are children  on the autism spectrum.  We serve a population with a variety of skills, deficits, and behaviors.  Safety is of the utmost priority, and you will not be paired with a client that has severe or intense behaviors.

We encourage you to visit the Behavior Analyst Certification Board for more information on becoming certified.
